Christ Church is in the zona sul (southern zone of Rio de Janeiro)

Our address is: Rua Real Grandeza 99, Botafogo 22281 - 030, Rio de Janeiro 

The Church is well served by public transport, our nearest Metro (underground) station is Botafogo. If coming by train, walk down Voluntarios da Patria (not in the direction of the sea) but the other way. When you reach Rua Real Grandeza turn right, and the Church is easily seen 50 metres along on your right hand side.

By bus coming from Copacabana/Ipanema catch the 136/154/435 and alight on Rua São Joao Batista, then walk left onto Rua Voluntarios da Patria and right, as above, onto Rua Grandeza. If coming from the Leblon end the 157 is a better option and it will drop you outside Sendas supermarket, Real Grandeza is then behind you - turn right as above.

By car - on a Sunday is easy - especially if you are coming from São Conrado, Barra and Recreiro. Head towards the city driving alongside the Lake, and then look for signs for Humaita and Botafogo. Keep heading straight and the road will soon become Rua Voluntarios da Patria. You can't turn left up Real Grandeza as it's one way - so turn left up Rua Matriz  which is the next road after the petrol garage on your left. (Don't turn down the little road that's by the petrol station - it's a dead end). Up Rua Matriz, left onto Rua Saõ Clemente and left again into Rua Real Grandeza, the Church is now about 75 metres on your left hand side.

By Taxi - simply show the driver a copy of the Church address, and insist he puts the meter on as soon as you set off.
